Dramas I completed in 2025 from most recent to oldest --- Speed and Love (10/10), Love in the Clouds (10/10), Legend of the Female General (10/10), When Destiny Brings the Demon (8.5/10), Feud (9/10), and Moonlight Mystique (10/10). There was one drama, The Blossoming Love, that I started and was like about 15 episodes in but stopped due to being busy and the chemistry between ML and FL was okay. So excited for Bai Lu's 2 new dramas next year!
Such an amazing movie! I just finished re-watching it again today since it is currently Free to watch with ads on Youtube. 11/10 would recommend this beautiful movie! It is so relatable in so many levels. It really makes me reflect on my own family and culture. Although we have our differences and do not always meet eye to eye, my family means everything to me even though I don't really express it. This movie is a reminder to myself and to everyone to cherish every moment with your family because life is short and unpredictable, none of us know how long we have on this Earth. With each passing day, all of us are just getting older. My parents, my grandma, my aunts, my uncles, my brother, my cousins and myself. I know that these past few years I have made it an effort to try to see my family more often, to prioritize them. My time with them is limited, especially with my grandma. She is the last living grandparent I have and I want to be as present as I can and cherish every moment with her. I know that simply just going over for dinner and eating with her makes her so happy. The best gift you can give anyone, especially your family, is your time.

I watched like half of this drama and then stopped because I got busy with other things. Never continued watching it. Story was alright, didn't really get into it maybe because of the male lead.
I've watched a good amount of dramas so far this year. Trying very hard to not be too addicted though. It is a good escape from everything that is going on right now and good way to practice my Chinese.
MISS TRUTH
Started watching this drama because I loved Toby Lee in Arsenal Military Academy and I had second lead syndrome. The plot seemed intriguing and I love crime/mystery show. It was a pretty good drama with very memorable OST. Hope that there will be a second season. I will give this drama a 8/10 stars.

I enjoyed this gender bender drama. It had an interesting plot, but I hated how it things ended. The last few episodes felt super rushed. The female lead did a phenomenal job in her acting, especially playing as a guy. It was believable. Yay for strong female lead. I felt that the male lead's acting was very stiff and awkward at times. OST was nice and fitting. Probably wouldn't re-watch it again unless if there will be a season 2. I will give this drama a 7/10 stars.

Watched this drama shortly after finishing up Arsenal Military Academy because of the same two leads, Bai Lu and Xu Kai. I loved them in AMA and I heard that this was another good drama so I decided to check it out. It was a good drama and I loved it! The plot is unique and once again, a strong female lead who is a super badass. I pretty much binge watched this drama in like less than a week on YouTube.
I liked how the drama portrayed that not everyone in the good sect were actually good people, that they do bad things and are willing to kill innocent people. On the other hand, what was considered the bad sect were actually the good people who help others and not commit evil crimes. It was refreshing to see that because it illustrates that not everything is just black and white. Sometimes things can't simply be distinguished by just being completely right or wrong. The villains were just so unlikeable and I did not feel bad for them at all. They were so selfish and evil.
OST was not too memorable for me. It wasn't bad, but wasn't amazing.
In the later half of the drama, especially towards the last few episodes, the editing got really messy and confusing. Like the scenes were all over the place and didn't really make sense. The last 5 minute of the drama was like WTH. They just took a previous scene from the beginning of the drama and changed the dialogue. Like why. So unfortunate because it started out so strong. The drama as it is is good, but it had so much potential to be amazing with the proper editing and ending.
Bai Lu and Xu Kai seriously have so much chemistry together. Hope that they do more dramas together in the future. I know that there are a lot of people who ship them together too. I absolutely loved Mo Qing's devotion and unconditional love for Zhao Yao. He always only had eyes for her. Always doing things to make her happy and protecting her.
After watching the Legends, Bai Lu has definitely become one of my favorite actress. Love how she portrays the character she plays and her acting just feels very natural. Look forward to more of her dramas and hope that she will continue to gain more popularity.
Overall, this was a great drama and I recommend it!

Watched this drama last year at around August and it is definitely one of my favorite drama. I have gone back and skimmed through the drama a few times already since finishing it because it is just that good! When I first watched it, I was so addicted. I could not stop thinking about the drama at all. I was never bored while watching it and it didn't feel like any episodes were fillers. A drama with a strong female lead about love, friendship, loyalty, and patriotism. Strong/interesting plot, great production value and a strong cast. What is there not to love about it?
I did not hear about this drama until I came across this video on Youtube that was recommended to me. The first few times that it was on my recommendation feed, I ignored it. I got tired of it keep popping up on my feed so I finally watched it and by the end of the video I was very intrigued. I usually don't prefer or liked drama in that time period, but decided to give this one a shot because of the interesting video (and the male lead is so handsome). So glad that I did! No regrets. Thank you so much to that video for introducing me to such an amazing and unforgettable drama.
The female lead, Xie Xiang/Xie Liang Chen, played by Bai Lu is such a badass. A very strong female lead who does not always need the male lead saving her, is strong, smart, and knows how to fight. She is hardworking and loyal to her friends. Bai Lu pulled off the boy look and her cross dressing is pretty believable. Fell in love with Bai Lu's acting and became a fan of her acting from this drama. Gu Yan Zhen played by Xu Kai is a lovable male lead. He is charming and a bit immature at times, but he knows what he wants and is not afraid to fight for it. Love how he is not afraid to express his love for the female lead and is always there for her. He is so so handsome, especially with that hairstyle. Xu Kai has very expressive eyes and he did an amazing job portraying Gu Yan Zhen. Bai Lu and Xu Kai had amazing chemistry and I loved their bickering, especially in the beginning. Although there are no kissing scenes between the leads, there are videos on Youtube of some of the deleted kissing scenes. Ah wish they included that in the drama, but from what I read due to censorship they had to remove those scenes.
Love all the secondary and side characters as well. Everyone fit their role perfectly and all the characters were well developed with interesting backstory. Lots of eye candies keke. Honestly, they did a fantastic job casting for the drama. Strong dynamic between the characters and absolutely love the brotherhood and friendships that was formed. Romance was not the only focus of the plot, which was refreshing. The drama started out pretty light and comedic, but then things get pretty serious and dark, which is expected from a war base drama.
I absolutely love the OST and the clothing designs in the drama. The OST is very fitting and addicting. My favorite song from it is probably Tango Under the Moonlight by Wu Jia Yi. When I initially heard it, I fell in love with the song. Very fitting for the drama and it makes me want to dance. The clothing designs were on point, especially the clothing for the male characters. So badass and fashionable.
The storyline of this drama is so interesting and unique, that's probably why I love this drama so much. Watching this drama actually kind of makes me want to live in that time period.
I could go on and on about this drama. 110% recommend it! This will definitely be a drama I keep coming back to.
