Drama Update

I've watched a good amount of dramas so far this year. Trying very hard to not be too addicted though. It is a good escape from everything that is going on right now and good way to practice my Chinese.  

 

MISS TRUTH

Started watching this drama because I loved Toby Lee in Arsenal Military Academy and I had second lead syndrome. The plot seemed intriguing and I love crime/mystery show. It was a pretty good drama with very memorable OST. Hope that there will be a second season. I will give this drama a 8/10 stars.

DANCE OF THE PHOENIX

This drama started off very strong, but after the second half of the drama the plot just turned kind of generic and predictable. Ending felt very rushed. I had major second lead syndrome in this drama. Felt so bad for Yu Ming Ye. I totally fell in love with his character and felt like he had way more chemistry with the female lead. OST for this drama was okay, not memorable at all. I will give this drama a 7.5/10 stars.

THE HEIRESS

I enjoyed this gender bender drama. It had an interesting plot, but I hated how it things ended. The last few episodes felt super rushed. The female lead did a phenomenal job in her acting, especially playing as a guy. It was believable. Yay for strong female lead. I felt that the male lead's acting was very stiff and awkward at times. OST was nice and fitting. Probably wouldn't re-watch it again unless if there will be a season 2. I will give this drama a 7/10 stars.

 

MAIDEN HOLMES

This was a super cute and wholesome drama with a strong female lead. I love how there is no love rivalry between the main couple and the friendship between the main and second couple. Really enjoyed watching their friendship grow. Main couple had amazing chemistry and I love how they talked through their issues in the drama. The plot was very interesting with the crime/mystery solving aspect of it. Definitely an underrated drama that deserved more recognition. I will give this drama a 10/10 stars. 

 

 LOVE IS SWEET

I usually prefer historical drama, but I just had to watch this drama since Bai Lu was in it and I love her acting. I love this drama! She has amazing and believable chemistry with Luo Yun Xi. I ship them! Love all their interactions in the drama. Hope to see them in another drama in the future. The plot was very interesting and cute. It takes place in a business/office setting. Drama didn't feel draggy at all and I was so addicted to it. Didn't really like the story of the second couple too much though. It is such a cute and funny drama. Love "Wealth" who is the corgi in the drama. He is so cute! OST was good too. I will give this drama a 10/10 stars.
